The story follows the end of last season, when Albuquerque lawyer Jimmy McGill was betrayed by his brother Chuck, so he returned to his hometown of Cicero, Illinois, to plan a series of fraud schemes with his childhood best friend Marco (Mel Rodriguez). They succeeded, but Marco suffered a heart attack when they were doing their last dirty work. After Marco’s death, Jimmy returned to New Mexico, and his life seemed to have a new meaning. He rejected a job offer from a large law firm in Santa Fe and took a big step towards criminal defense lawyer Saul Goodman. His days of “”innocence and integrity”” are gone.
