The film focuses on the first day of the “silent apocalypse”, when humans have not yet mastered the rule of “sound means death” and are vulnerable to monsters. Thousands of monsters fall from the sky, the largest number of monsters in the series, and the perspective is upgraded from the rural town in the previous game to the largest metropolis in the United States – New York. The world has fallen, and the streets, subways, supermarkets and other places where humans live have become full of dangers. Once you make a sound, you will be “close to your face” by the hidden monsters. The bustling New York has fallen into a silent lonely city, and the surviving humans stage an extreme escape here.
